Happy 4th of July! I hope you all are having a great weekend. For the first time in many weeks, I feel like I have some actual summer-like downtime. There are so many things to do, I don't know where to start but all of it can wait, so I'm seriously doin' nothing. Summertime, Summertime, Sum Sum Summertime! Love it. Here we all are in 1973 (don't do the math--it's pretty hard to take)
Love the socks, Kathy! And my outfit I remember was handmade by ME! I had a couple of those from the same pattern back in the day when I tried to follow in Nanny's footsteps. Paula's looking cool and Judy seems to be standing where she's been told.
Here we are some 20 years later
More summertime fun. I hope we can recreate this again this summer......our annual party will be Sunday August 15 to celebrate Ryan and Amy's graduation as well as Jim's retirement. Set aside the afternoon if you are able! Because I'd really like a chance to redeem myself from the picture with that hat and outfit........
I don't remember too much specifically about the 4th of July when we were young except for the occasional sparklers (I wonder where they came from?). I recall one time going to Cherry Creek for the parade but other than that not too much comes to mind. Sort of all blends into general summertime activities (even if that activity is languishing).

Finally! I was having trouble being able to comment (couldn't see the letters to verify). As far as the 4th of July goes, I remember going to TriCounty Country Club (where Dad worked summers)and watching the fireworks. Do any of you remember that? I loved them! Still do.
I look forward to having another photo taken of the siblings, unfortunately, I think we will be shocked at all the gray!
I'm enjoying my summer reading, as usual. A legacy from both Mom and Dad...
