RIP Dad

Things that I do that remind me of Dad:  re-arrange the dishes in the dishwasher.  This used to make me nuts when I saw Dad endlessly rearranging and now I find myself doing the same with probably nearly the same level of irritation.

Get upset when I can't find the screwdriver.  I made my own set of tools and placed them near where I would be able to get to them when I needed them.  It was so convenient that now this set has been taken over and the screwdriver occasionally goes missing.

Misspelled signs.  Don't need to say more there.

What about you?

"You're almost done!" When we thought we WERE done cleaning a room. Boy, did that drive me nuts! I hope I never did that to my kids, but I probably did.

Him getting mad when one of us was hurt. As a kid, I didn't understand why he would be mad when we needed him to be loving. But now I get that he was probably scared to see us hurting and that made him angry.

Him sitting on the floor when we were little and letting us roll over his shoulder and do a somersault. Over and over and over... I LOVE geting down on the floor with John and letting him climb all over me.

I remember both of your examples too. RIP Dad. Can't believe it's been nine years.
